Global Community Development Programme

AIESEC partners with many non corporate organizations all over the world who recognize us for a unique youth leadership talent pool.

The Global Community Development Programme experience is an opportunity for you to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership by creating direct positive impact through an international volunteer experience.

International internships are the most intense learning experience we offer and connect our global network. This programme encompasses cross-cultural positive impact through working abroad for social and community development projects that lead to self development and skill enhancement for the member undertaking the programme.

We provide international volunteer experiences through which you can develop yourself while empowering individuals, communities or organisations. We focus on areas and issues with the need for direct social impact and sustainable solutions.

Who is suitable for this programme?

  • Students and recent graduates in the last 2 years
  • Between the age of 18 and 30
  • Available for 6-8 week long porjects starting in January – February or June-July
  • Profile – background: Social work, Project Management, Bilingual and cross cultural education, Psychology, Advertising and PR

Requirements:

  • interest in specific social issues /topics
  • good or excellent English knowledge
  • open to experience different cultures and passionate about contributing to society

AIESEC Switzerland has specific partnerships with AIESEC in Brazil, India, and China. These AIESEC countries reserve specific internships (6-8 week long) for Swiss students starting from January. Below is a description of each AIESEC program we offer and the specific countries where you can venture to for these programs.

    The programme also includes:

  • 1 day long cultural preparation seminar (including travelling preparation, policies and programmes standards, training on the usage of our online system, workshop on cultural differences delivered by a citizen/returnee from the region)
  • monthly 1,5 hour long one-to-one consultancy with your Student Exchange Programme responsible
  • it takes about 2-3 months to go through the selections process and match to an internship abroad
  • accommodation and food is provided depending on the project outline (other costs: airfare and insurance coverage are not included)
